Apothenne LA candle collection is handcrafted with 100% non-GMO soy wax and cotton core wicks. They use a blend of essential oils and premium natural oils. Their products are ethically produced and are free of preservatives, additives, dyes, parabens, petroleum, and phthalates. Each Apothenne Los Angeles candle is developed, hand-poured, packaged, and shipped from our LA studio to you.

The first time you burn our candles, it’s important to allow them to burn for 2-3 hours to create a full “melt pool” This will ensure the melted wax reaches all the way to the edge of the container. Soy candles have a MEMORY - the very first time you burn one you have to allow it to melt to the outer edges of the vessel!
This allows for a clean, even burn all the way down. if the first burn is too short the candle will only burn down the middle, creating a tunnel.
Trim your wick every time before you re-light the candle. You can use a wick-trimmer or just pinch off the little black tip with your fingers!
All of our candle containers can be re-used. Just wash out the container with warm soapy water...use it as a planter for succulents, makeup brushes, craft supplies, drinking glasses, and much more!
It is important to keep your lit candle away from any draft or direct airflow (I.e fan, window, heating, and cooling) a wavering or over-disrupted flame will cause the candle to burn poorly.
